Shreya Patel, MD

Dr. Shreya Patel is a distinguished board-certified dermatologist renowned for her expertise in general dermatology and skin cancer management. Born and raised in Paramus, New Jersey, Dr. Patel’s journey to becoming a leading figure in dermatology reflects a commitment to excellence, education, and cutting-edge research.  

Her academic journey began at The College of New Jersey/Rutgers New Jersey Medical School 7-Year Medical program, where she graduated magna cum laude. Demonstrating outstanding leadership, she served as the chapter president of Alpha Omega Alpha, the prestigious medical honor society. Concurrently, Dr. Patel held a pivotal role as an executive board director for the Rutgers Mini Medical School program. Her academic prowess was recognized with the Douglas E. Wong, M.D. ’89, Endowed Scholarship.  

Upon completing her medical internship at Rutgers, Dr. Patel pursued a dermatology residency at Boston University Medical Center. During this transformative period, she achieved notable milestones, including receiving a research grant from the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Patel has distinguished herself in dermatology research, contributing to numerous peer-reviewed studies. In 2022, she was acknowledged by Doximity as one of the top 10% of cited clinicians.  

Outside of her professional life, she finds joy in exploring new culinary experiences at restaurants, traveling to new destinations, engaging in water sports, participating in indoor cycling, and cherishing quality time with her loved ones.
