What Is Juvederm?
Juvederm is the “next generation†smooth gel, dermal filler. Juvederm injectable gels gently smooth wrinkles and folds around the mouth and nose and restore a youthful volume to the face. They are especially effective on smile lines and “parentheses†(nasolabial folds) that run from the bottom of the nose to the sides of the mouth.
Juvederm will give you a natural look and feel that is long-lasting and beautiful. Juvederm products are FDA-Approved and made with hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the body that works with collagen and elastin to provide volume and support to the skin. Juvederm’s unique formulation has a smoother consistency to help minimize the discomfort that can sometimes occur during the injection procedure.
What are the Benefits of Juvederm?
As our bodies get older and age, our cheeks may begin to flatten and our skin may begin to sag. The cause of this is a natural loss of volume in the cheek area, or what is called age-related midface volume loss. Juvederm is designed to give your cheeks a volume beneath the surface of the skin, which in turn will provide a lift and contour the cheek area.
Juvederm will be injected into the areas of your face with moderate to severe wrinkling and folding, including what is known as the “parentheses line” around your mouth and nose. This form of Juvederm is designed to temporarily correct any facial wrinkling and create a smooth and clear appearance to the face for any adults over the age of 21.
Some additional benefits include:
- Immediate treatment, no pre-treatment skin test required!
- Immediate results
- No Downtime
Types Of Juvederm
We offer the full family of Juvederm fillers that include:
JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC
This Juvederm filler will instantly add volume to your cheeks. It helps to enhance the cheeks contour and make you look more youthful and young for up to two years. Juvederm Voluma allows you to acquire a long lasting and instant lift. Dr. Citron also uses Voluma to help with skeletal augmentation as well.
XCAlso called Juvederm Vollure XC, this hyaluronic acid filler is approved for correcting wrinkles and fold for over a year and can even last up to 18 months!
JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC
The only FDA approved filler to help increase lip fullness and also improve the vertical lip lines for up to a year. Volbella can be used to help define lip contouring, help give it a natural lip volume, treating oral commissures, and finally supporting the marionette lines down the chin.
JUVÉDERM® ULTRA XC
This is the softest dermal filler around, and its primary use is to help treat deep wrinkles, such as a nasolabial fold(the lines that are from the corners of your mouth to the nose) and marionette lines. These injections last up to one year and help smooth depressed scars and enhance the lips
JUVÉDERM® ULTRA PLUS
This is the exact formula of Juvederm ultra, but this one has a small amount of local anesthetic added to it. Also, it is a thicker version then the ultra, so when injected it corrects more severe wrinkles, nasolabial folds, and marionette lines. Ultra plus can also be used to fill up those depressed areas of the cheeks.
How is Juvederm Performed?
Juvederm Injectable Gel comes in multiple variations optimized for the depth of the area being treated. This filler treatment takes about 15 minutes with immediate results and no downtime. You can expect to be in our office for around a half hour to 45 minutes as we will need to numb the area prior to treatment.
How Quickly Do Lip Injections Work?
Results are immediate and there’s virtually no recovery or downtime. You get a smooth, natural look, restore your lips natural volume, and smooth away lip lines for beautiful natural looking lips. You will have a smooth, natural look and feel so everyone will notice (but no one will know)!
How Long Do Results from Juvederm Last?
Results typically last about 6-9 months and can be made to last even longer with a simple follow-up treatment a few weeks after the initial injection. Juvederm dermal filler lasts long because of its high concentration of hyaluronic acid and a special formulation process.
